Collaboration with animal naturopath Ursula Wilke
Our HAPPY POO herbal blend was developed in collaboration with veterinary naturopath Ursula Wilke. Ursula has been working as a veterinary naturopath and nutritionist since 2021 and knows exactly which ingredients have proven effective in practice.
Gut health is a topic that is particularly close to her heart: “You can take the best supplements, but if your gut isn’t healthy, even the best supplements won’t be effective. It’s no wonder, since a very large part of the immune system is located in the gut.”

HAPPY POO – What’s in the herbal blend?
A healthy gut is the foundation of a happy dog’s life—and that’s exactly where our HAPPY POO herbal blend comes in. With psyllium husks, elm and willow bark, chamomile, fennel, anise, and caraway, it gently restores balance to the digestive system. Pectin and bentonite support the gut flora and help bind toxins. Hemp leaf powder with CBD provides additional soothing relief for the stomach.

A natural clay mineral with high adsorption capacity. It binds unwanted substances in the intestines, such as toxins, heavy metals, or bacterial toxins, thereby supporting intestinal detoxification. This relieves the digestive system, promotes regular digestion, and helps maintain a stable stool consistency.
02 Psyllium Husk
Psyllium husk consists of soluble dietary fiber that swells in the intestines and forms a protective mucus film. It binds both excess fluid and toxins, helping to regulate bowel movements (for both diarrhea and constipation) and promoting healthy peristalsis (intestinal movement).
03 Elm Bark
When it comes into contact with liquid, elm bark forms a mucilaginous protective film that gently coats the irritated mucous membranes of the stomach and intestines. It soothes, calms, and protects the sensitive digestive tract—making it ideal for food intolerances, acid-related discomfort, or after a change in diet.
04 Willow Bark
Willow bark contains natural salicylates that gently soothe irritation in the gastrointestinal tract and may help relieve discomfort.
05 Pectin
Pectin is a soluble dietary fiber that forms a gel-like substance when combined with liquid. Pectin can bind excess fluid in the intestines, resulting in firmer stools. It also acts as a prebiotic—that is, food for beneficial gut bacteria—and promotes a healthy gut microbiome.
06 Chamomile Flowers
Chamomile flowers contain essential oils (primarily bisabolol and flavonoids) that support natural digestion. Chamomile soothes irritated stomach nerves, relaxes the digestive tract, and helps relieve stress-related digestive discomfort.
07 Fennel Seeds
Fennel seeds are known in herbal medicine for their carminative properties—meaning they relieve gas, relax the intestinal muscles, and promote intestinal motility. In general, they support healthy digestion, especially when you’re feeling bloated.
08 Hemp Leaf Powder
The cannabidiol (CBD) it contains acts through the endocannabinoid system—a regulatory system in the body that plays a role in digestive function, stress management, and nervous system regulation, among other things. CBD can reduce the release of stress hormones (cortisol), which has a positive effect on stressed or sensitive digestive systems.
09 Anise seeds
Anise seeds contain anethole, which aids digestion. Anise supports intestinal peristalsis, reduces bloating and abdominal discomfort, and helps promote a healthy digestive system—especially in dogs with sensitive stomachs or food sensitivities.
10 caraway seeds
Carawayseeds are a proven remedy for indigestion, bloating, and cramps. They stimulate the secretion of digestive juices, help the body better utilize food, and restore balance to the intestinal flora. They are particularly effective for treating discomfort after eating.
11 Clinoptilolite
Clinoptilolite is a natural volcanic mineral with strong ion-exchange capacity that binds toxins and mycotoxins in the intestines. It can help maintain a stable internal environment and thereby indirectly balance hormone metabolism.
How and when should Happy Poo be given?
Like all of our herbal blends, HAPPY POO is simply sprinkled over your pet’s food. It is formulated to meet daily requirements and maintain a baseline CBD level.
What are the possible applications?
There are essentially three different ways to use our HAPPY POO:
- In cases of acute need – support for targeted use
- as a course of treatment —lasting 6 to 12 weeks—to restore and maintain normal digestive function
- Long-term use – a gentle addition to your daily diet
Can HAPPY POO be given on a long-term basis?
Since all of our herbal blends contain CBD, we recommend taking a break of 4 to 5 days every 3 months to prevent the endocannabinoid system from becoming desensitized.
That said, you can generally continue to administer the nacani herbal blends on a regular basis. Only if you notice that the herbs’ effectiveness is waning (which happens in very few cases) might it be advisable to take a longer break from administering them.
Can HAPPY POO be used in combination with other nacani products?
All nacani products go wonderfully well together!
