General Information About Nacani CBD Oil and Dosage
The amount of CBD your dog can take depends on your dog’s body weight. Our general dosage recommendation is between approximately 0.5 and 1 mg of CBD per day per kilogram of body weight. However, this is not a strict rule, but merely a rough guideline. Every dog is different and therefore reacts differently to CBD. Some dogs need more, others less, to achieve the desired effect. It’s best to try it out yourself to see which dosage works best for your dog. Don’t worry about doing something wrong—nothing bad will happen! Even ahigher dose doesn’t cause any serious side effects.
In acute cases—for example, to help calm your pet in a stressful situationlike New Year’s Eve—you can actually give three to four times the usual amount.

Our full-spectrum CBD oil is available in two different strengths:
- 2.8% CBD oil with 1 mg of CBD per drop– ideal for small dogs
- 5.6% CBD oil with 2 mg of CBD per drop –ideal for larger dogs and horses
How to properly dose nacani 2.8% CBD oil (1 mg of CBD per drop)
Dosing the 2.8% oil is very simple, because each drop contains 1 mg of CBD. So your dog’s weight corresponds to the number of drops per day.
If you're just starting out with CBD, it's a good idea to ease into it gradually at first so your body can get used to it.
- Determine the daily dose of CBD for your dog. General guideline: 0.5 to 1 mg of CBD per kilogram of body weight per day (see dosage calculator)
- Start with the lower limit of 0.5 mg of CBD per kilogram of body weight and gradually increase the dosage until you reach the upper recommended dosage of approximately 1 mg of CBD per kilogram of body weight.

Ludwig, 12 kg – approx. 6 to 12 drops daily
How to properly dose nacani 5.6% CBD oil (2 mg CBD per drop)
Administering 5.6% CBD oil is essentially no different from administering 2.8% oil. The only difference is that one drop of the 5.6% oil contains twice as much CBD as one drop of the 2.8% oil. So simply divide your dog’s weight by 2, and you’ll get the number of drops.

How should nacani CBD oil be administered, and what should you keep in mind?
Ideally, doses should be spread out over at least three times a day, for example, in the morning, at noon, and in the evening. Depending on the individual, CBD remains in the body for about four to six hours before being broken down by the liver. The goal is to maintain a steady level so that the body’s endocannabinoid system is continuously supported.
Ideally, the oil should be administered directly into the dog’s mouth. However, since many dogs may resist this, you can also mix the oil with food. It’s best to give it separately from meals, using as small a portion of food as possible, so that the oil can be easily absorbed by the body.
Tip: Try mixing the nacani CBD oil with a little dog liver sausage and then letting your dog lick it off your hand. This ensures it comes into good contact with the mucous membranes in the mouth and is absorbed directly by the body.
If you do decide to add the oil to their food, feel free to add a few extra drops, as some of the active ingredient may be lost during the digestive process.
Please give the bottle a gentle shake before opening, as the plant components may settle slightly if left standing for a while. It’s best to store it in a cool, dark place, such as a cabinet or drawer (but please not in the refrigerator!). Since our nacani CBD oil is 100% pressed hemp plant juice, the oil may become slightly thicker at colder temperatures. You may be familiar with this from other plant oils, such as coconut oil. If this happens, simply place the bottle briefly in a warm water bath.
In general, CBD should be taken daily if it has a positive effect. Take a short break of three to four days every two to three months so that your body doesn’t become sluggish in its own production of cannabidiol.
Of course , all of our CBD products can be combined perfectly with one another. Just make sure to keep an eye on your total daily dose. By the way, CBD treats are neither better nor worse than the oil—they’re just sometimes more convenient, for example when you’re on the go. On the other hand, the oil takes effect faster. Making it easy to dose nacani drops correctly
You can't go far wrong when dosing our nacani CBD oil. Roughly speaking, your dog’s weight corresponds to the number of drops of the 2.8% oil they should receive per day. For the 5.6% oil with 2 mg of CBD per drop, simply divide your dog’s weight by 2 to get the number of drops your dog should receive per day. In acute stress situations, you can give a little more.
If you’re trying CBD for the first time, start by gradually increasing the dose so your dog’s body can get used to it. And even if you give a bit more than intended, it’s unlikely to cause any problems, since CBD doesn’t have any serious side effects.
