What is CBD for horses?
CBD stands for “cannabidiol,” a valuable active ingredient derived from the hemp plant that acts as a kind of “body police,” monitoring the balance of all bodily functions. When this balance is disrupted—for example, by anxiety or stress—CBD works to restore the body’s internal equilibrium. Horses also have their own endocannabinoid system, through which CBD exerts its effects. CBD can support your horse in everyday life—especially during stressful moments.
What CBD products are available for horses?

When it comes to CBD for horses, you often see percentages like 20%, 30%, or higher. That sounds like “stronger,” but it means something different than it does for us. Such oils are usually a highly concentrated CBD extract in a carrier oil. Our oil is not a mixture, but rather the juice pressed directly from the whole hemp plant—100% hemp juice, full-spectrum.

In what situations do owners use CBD for their horses?
Recommended dosage:10–15 mg of CBD per 100 kg daily. Start with half that amount and gradually increase it over 1–2 weeks. Using the 5.6% oil (2 mg per drop):

Is CBD Safe for Horses? Side Effects
CBD is consideredwell-toleratedby horses and does not cause a “high” or lead to dependence. Based on current knowledge, accidentally administering too high a dose is harmless and may result, at most, in some tiredness, mild drowsiness, or a drier mouth. If your horse is taking other medications, it’s best to consult your veterinarian first.

All of our vegan CBD products are suitable for horses, including the vegan CBD treats and the CBD oil. We especially recommend the 5.6% CBD oil, which contains 2 mg of CBD per drop, and the vegan Nacanis, which contain 3 mg of CBD per ball. The oil is absorbed most quickly through the mucous membranes and can be precisely dosed; treats are easy to use. Many people combine both.
Is CBD dangerous for horses?
CBD has no serious side effects. Even accidental overdoses are harmless and may cause drowsiness, mild dizziness, and a dry mouth.
For which horses is CBD suitable?
CBD is especially ideal forskittish and nervous horses. CBD is also often given to horses to help with anxiety, promote mobility, maintain healthy skin and coat, support the digestive tract, or provide natural relaxation.
