CBD oil for dogsdoesn't have to be complicated. Our oils consist of a single ingredient: the cold-pressed juice of the whole hemp plant. No carrier oil, no hemp seed oil, no additives—genuine full-spectrum!
Available in two strengths:2.8%(1 mg of CBD per drop) and5.6%(2 mg per drop). Below, you’ll find everything you need to make an informed choice—from the right strength and dosage to safety and effects.
CBD (cannabidiol) is a natural component of the hemp plant. It does not get your dog “high” or cause addiction—that would require the psychoactive substance THC, and the THC content in our oils is well below the maximum permitted level of 0.2%. CBD works through the body’s own endocannabinoid system, which is involved in many processes related to relaxation, balance, and well-being. A CBD oil for dogs is a natural dietary supplement that can support your dog in everyday life.
Most CBD oils for animals are blends: a CBD extract dissolved in a carrier oil such as MCT, salmon, or hemp seed oil. Our oil is not a blend. To make our oil, we press the entire industrial hemp plant and bottle the resulting product.
Both oils contain exactly the same thing: pure hemp plant juice. The only difference is the concentration—that is, how much CBD is in a single drop.

Here’s an example: Luna, an 8-kg French Bulldog, needs about 4 to 8 drops per day of the 2.8% oil. Bruno, a 35-kg Labrador, would need about 9 to 18 drops of the 5.6% oil. The same amount of the 2.8% oil would be up to 35 drops. For large dogs, the higher concentration is therefore particularly beneficial: Fewer drops also mean less fat and fewer calories. This is especially important if your dog is sensitive to fat or needs to watch his weight.
CBD oil can be a versatile tool for situations where you want your dog to calm down. It’s most commonly used to help your dog stay calm during exciting moments:
It varies from dog to dog. In acute situations, you’ll often see results within30 to 60 minutes—especially when it’s absorbed through the oral mucosa, meaning it’s applied directly to the lips. For issues that you and your dog have been dealing with for a while, it’s worth being patient: Owners report noticing the first changes after abouttwo to three weeksof regular administration. You can learn more about this in the guide“Effects & Duration of CBD in Dogs.”
The short answer: CBD is generallywell tolerated by dogs. It is not psychoactive and is not addictive. Possible side effects may include:
An overdose does not cause any known serious harm—at worst, your dog may become drowsy. We’ve covered this topic in detail in our guide,“Interactions and Side Effects of CBD in Dogs.”
Our rule of thumb:0.5 to 1 mg of CBD per kilogram of body weight daily, divided into two to three doses throughout the day. Start at the lower end and increase the dose gradually over one to two weeks. This will allow you to find the amount that keeps your dog feeling most balanced. In special situations, such as New Year’s Eve, you can temporarily increase the dose to three to four times the usual amount.
To save you the trouble of doing the math, ourCBD dosage calculator for dogswill give you the exact number of drops. You can find even more details in the guide“How Much CBD Can My Dog Take?”. We also recommend taking a short break of four to five days every three months to keep your dog’s body’s natural system sensitive.
You can give the CBD oil straight or mix it into their food. It has a nutty, fairly intense flavor, which not everyone likes right away. If your dog turns up its nose, we havetips on how to make CBD oil more palatable, or you can try ourCBD snacksor CBD peanut butter.

"Full-spectrum" means that, in addition to CBD, the other plant compounds in the hemp plant are also preserved and work together synergistically—the so-called entourage effect. This is what sets it apart from isolated CBD products.
CBD oil should not be confused withhemp oil(hemp seed oil): The latter is pressed from the seeds and contains virtually no CBD—it is a pure cooking oil. Our oil, on the other hand, is the extract of the entire plant and therefore contains CBD. We explain the difference in detail inour comparison of hemp oil and CBD oil.
Our 5.6% oil is also suitable for horses. The recommended dosage is approximately 10 to 15 mg of CBD per 100 kg of body weight per day. You can find all the details—from how to use it to the right products—under"CBD for Horses."
Our oils are intentionally not intended for cats because they contain terpenes that cats cannot tolerate. We explain why this is the case inthe article “Can Nacani products also be given to cats?”
No. The THC content is less than 0.2%, which is well below any intoxicating level. CBD itself is not psychoactive.
In principle, at any age, even for puppies. However, since there is still very little research on this topic, we recommend waiting until the puppy is at least 12 weeks old before starting.
That depends on the size of the bottle and the dosage. A 10-ml bottle contains about 250 drops. For a 10-kg dog taking 5 to 10 drops of 2.8% oil daily, the bottle will last about four to six weeks.
Store in a cool, dark place and keep tightly sealed. Once opened, it will keep for several months. A slight sediment at the bottom is normal—it’s plant material, not a defect.
Yes, nacani products can be combined with one another. We’ll show you how this works in everyday life in the article“Can You Combine Our nacani CBD Products?”Just be sure to add up the CBD amounts.
Our nacani CBD oil is perfect for dogs and horses—for example, for anxious or nervous animals, older animals, animals with a weak constitution, boisterous young animals, or animals that are physically active. Since it can be administered directly into the mouth using the dropper and is absorbed most quickly through the mucous membranes, it is also well-suited for use in acute situations.
Our CBD oil is a full-spectrum oil. Unfortunately, due to the terpenes it contains, it is not suitable for cats.
Our CBD oil can also be used to bake your own treats. It’s important not to set the oven too high, so as not to damage the CBD.
Bake at a maximum of 160 degrees—preferably at 140 degrees—and leave the treats in the oven a little longer.
